The TLC CUP competition was organised for Francophone students living in Ghana. It was another brilliant initiative which used the medium of sports-football, to promote cohesiveness and coexistence among African people. Such an initiative is surely good for the African continent since the tournament opens avenues in the field of sports for the African youth and most importantly promotes peace among countries in Africa. Its significance profoundly captured the interest of the National Sports Council of Ghana, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Ghana, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and all Francophone Ambassadors in Ghana.

Fourteen countries - Chad, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Gabon,Togo, Niger, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Congo Brazzaville, Central African Republic and Guinea Conakry participated in the tournament. A good number of footballers were discovered during the tournament; some of whom now play for their respective national teams in Chad, Congo and Gabon and others who have found a profession in sports when they were scouted and signed by some futuristic team managers.
